The software and models that Lutri is built with, and the licenses they come with.
About these notices
Lutri is built with the work of many other people. This page credits the main parts and says which license each one comes with. Nothing here limits the rights those licenses give you. The Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy say how Lutri itself may be used.
The search model
EmbeddingGemma 2 is an open embedding model from Google DeepMind. Lutri uses the text and vision build that the LiteRT Community converted for phones (litert-community/embeddinggemma-2-text-vision-440m-litert-lm on Hugging Face). The original model and the converted build are both released under the Apache License 2.0.
The model is not part of the app. The app downloads it from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) when you ask it to, and checks it against a fixed checksum. Its authors ask that it be used in line with the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy (ai.google.dev/gemma/prohibited_use_policy).
On-device engines
Google AI Edge, through MediaPipe Tasks and LiteRT-LM, runs the model on your phone, under the Apache License 2.0. On Android, text in pictures is read by Google ML Kit text recognition, which is provided under the ML Kit Terms of Service (developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms). On iPhone, text is read by Apple’s Vision framework, which is part of iOS.
Purchases
Plans are confirmed with the RevenueCat SDK (react-native-purchases), which is released under the MIT license, together with the App Store or Google Play.
App framework and libraries
Lutri is a React Native app built with Expo. These libraries are used under the MIT license. Each is the work of its authors and contributors, and is used under the license published in its own repository:
